Today I was at Avalon, working with my horse Journey. After just a few minutes, it dawned on me that I didn’t have even part of her attention. It seems that Sirocco, Greyson and Tonto were racing around the adjoining field, celebrating Spring.
The three geldings looked just like wild horses on TV… Tails flagged, snorting fiercely, throwing their heads. You could hear their hooves even over the next hill.
I was surprised to find Tonto in that mix — Sirocco and Greyson are joined at the hip, and Tonto is decades older. He kept up with no problem, and even lead a couple of times.
Poor Journey wanted to join in, but she had to settle for cantering in the round pen. 🙂
