This article might give you some insight into the Pentagon…http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/iraq/article1434540.ece
This is an excerpt from a Democracy Now! interview with Seymour Hersh, Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter, author of the book, Chain Of Command: The Road From 9-11 to Abu Ghraib speaking in 2005
He has a new article in the New yorker and he’s saying this on CNN: “So America, my country, without telling Congress, using funds not appropriated, I don’t know where, by my sources believe much of the money obviously came from Iraq where there is all kinds of piles of loose money, pools of cash that could be used for covert operations.

It does say something about how fragile our Democracy is. You do have to wonder what a Democracy is when it comes down to a few men in the Pentagon and a few men in the White House having their way.(read more)
I urge you to go back and read about Iran-Contra if you are not familier with the players…guess what? They’re back…
Hope this explains the Pentagon involvement and why they aren’t “just following orders” as we would think they would do. By the way, remember Rumsfeld “stepped down?” Well he still has a desk and a plush office…in the Pentagon.
