Hi My Friends,

I’m excited to let you know that I will start at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Santa Cruz County in Aptos CA on Sept 1, 2007. I am soooo excited. They seem like a truly wonderful group of folks and the area there is beautiful. I will be a
Consulting Minister there for one year. We have an option to call (rent with option to buy; hire to call) open but we have to figure out whether or not we can live there on a minister’s salary. (average price of a home is $700,000.)

Karen and I were married in civil union on May 29th in Brattleboro Vermont. The Reverend James Ishmael Ford (Roshi) performed the private service in a beautiful garden at the PutneyForty Inn. It was a wonderful occasion, further marked by the car rental company running out of economy cars and would we settle for a Crossfire! Did we ever enjoy that!

I graduated from ISL (Institute for Spiritual Leadership) on June 1 and from Meadville Lombard Theological School on June 3. Good endings both.

I’ll be at General Assembly in Portland Oregon next week and hope to see some of you there. Then Karen and I will drive to Santa Cruz, find housing and drive back to Bowling Green area to pick up the dogs and move on out.

It’s been an exciting time. Thanks for sharing the journey.
