Starting April 17th the sundance channel is offering programs about eco-friendly topics. The producer of the first series is David Meltzer and his is called “Big Ideas” Robert Redford’s Sundance Channel Refers to the new programming block as “the green” it is a weekly block of programming beginning with the documentary series “Big ideas for a small planet.”
Redford has been an activist for envirnmental issues for more than 30 years. He is the founder of the sundance film festival and the current success of al gore’s film “an inconvenient truth” and chris payne’s film “who killed the electric car?” spawned the idea for this current programming. both of those films were very successful at sundance this past year. -val
