I can’t wait to hear from you concerning your interests in alternative energy. Emily and Val made major strides toward this effort when they installed a geothermal heating system in their new farm house. I hope to provide information on geothermal after a little more research but maybe some of you have information or experience in this area.
We have a lot of other projects brewing also which will hopefully find us installing our first PV solar system for lights at the horse arena this spring and possibly hot water using passive solar for a restroom/shower in the valley this summer.
One of our first projects; however, will be to gather information to determine if a turbine is possible to generate electricity from the stream that runs through the valley. If it works out, we will have electricity 24/7 to run up the hill or elsewhere.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
Brenda
